It takes faith to believe in something we cannot see. For many its a scary thought, for others its impossible. There are many people who claim that Jesus simply didn't exist, the apostle Paul before he had an encounter with God killed, murdered, and persecuted the very same faith he wore about in the New Testament. How does that happen? I mean Jesus isn't real, right? I mean when I was a young teenager I didn't believe in God, Jesus and the Holy spirit and I in fact Hated religion period. But when I was 18 years old, that all changed. I personally had an encounter with he living God and my life was changed forever, now does that mean I didn't struggle, nope I struggled with lots of things in my walk and I do to this day. But what took place when I was 18 from going to a religious hating, satanic indulged, drug addict, alcoholic teen....to a God fearing, Christ loving, drug and alcohol free young adult if Jesus isn't real? If you choose to read this please read till the end bc this passage I'm about to share with you all really makes you think about if Jesus really died on a cross and rose again for all who to choose to believe and fallow. 1 Corinthians 15:13-19 tells us this, and remember this is a letter the Apostle Paul is writing to the Churches in Corinth the very same man who killed people who believed....
13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. 15 And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. 16 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. 18 In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! 19 And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
Wow! Paul admits that if Jesus were in fact not real and wasn't raised from the dead. That he is lying, the Bible in itself is an entire lie and I myself am lying as well. How many religions do you know of that really challenge people like Christianity, and further more what happened on that day that the apostle Paul have his heart to Jesus and turned from killing the very same faith that he once hated? How did I myself also go from a God hating young teen and grow in the very same faith that I myself also once couldn't stand? It goes on to say in verse 20 in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 that Christ indeed was raised from the dead. Now why would someone put so much faith, so much Passion into a lie? Doesn't make since, and back in these times and even some parts of the world today you were persecuted and even killed over preaching that Christ died and Rose again. Why would people in those times and even today risk there lives for something that was made up and a complete lie? Doesn't make since at all. So here is the question, if Jesus isn't Real why do people risk everything they have to tell people about Jesus? And why is is so hard for people to just simply accept the fact that God our creator loved us so much that he indeed sent His son Jesus to save us for eternity? Forever! I don't know about you all, but that excites me to no end!
